Schlumberger and Montpellier BIC are launching a temporary incubator from March to October 2020 to support 4 innovative projects to create a company in the digital sector. Another incubator, SPARX by Innovosud, was launched in Béziers with a focus on topics related to green energy.

SPARX by Montpellier BIC, free business and technological assistance for 8 months

The four chosen companies in the digital sector (AI applications for the industry and/or physical space, new web technologies, applied mathematics, and geoscience) will benefit from high-level technology and business assistance, including strategy, sales, exports, and networking for eight months, combined with 70 hours of expert technical assistance provided by Schlumberger.

The SPARX by Montpellier BIC incubator includes:

3 kick-off days to define an action plan
Personalized assistance by a BIC project manager
Access to BIC training courses and assistance programs (see bic-montpellier.fr website for a detailed presentation of assistance services)
Access to technology consulting provided by Schlumberger experts, and the opportunity to participate in Schlumberger innovation events
Networking with partners who will help your business grow, including investors and financiers, technology partners, researchers, and more
Access to shared office space at the Cap Omega Montpellier BIC startup incubator

Requirements:

Presence at least one day per week at the Cap Omega incubator in Montpellier
If your company is not located in the Montpellier Métropole area, you must commit to relocating locally for at least 3 years following SPARX by Montpellier BIC assistance

This program is free of charge for assisted projects and companies

Key dates:

Call-for-candidacy opens on November 5, 2019
Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2019
Application pre-selection on January 7, 2020
Presentation to the selection jury on January 21, 2020 at the Schlumberger Montpellier R&D Center (and January 22, 2020 at Innovosud in Béziers)
Selection results to be announced on January 24, 2020
Assistance from March to October 2020
