For the fourth consecutive year, MedVallée, alongside the Occitanie Region and the Montpellier University Innovation Hub (Pôle Universitaire d’Innovation de Montpellier), showcased Montpellier’s health innovation ecosystem at the 60th edition of Santexpo.
This collective presence highlighted a dynamic regional ecosystem capable of developing innovative solutions in strategic fields such as digital health, artificial intelligence, and psychiatry. Several local companies were represented, including MB Therapeutics, REGEnLIFE, ALCEDIAG, INSEPARABLE, Famille Santé, and CAREPROD, demonstrating the region’s ability to transform research and innovation into practical applications.
During the roundtable discussion “Montpellier, a Territory of Excellence in Global Health Research and Innovation,” moderated by Daniel Laune and featuring Anne Ferrer-Villeneuve, Christian Assaf, Magali Roubieu, and Ian Soulairol, discussions emphasized the agility and strength of Montpellier’s innovation model.
Speakers highlighted the value of a collaborative ecosystem built on close cooperation between startups, hospitals, universities, public authorities, and support organizations. This collective approach is a key driver for accelerating the transition of innovations from research to real-world deployment for the benefit of patients and healthcare professionals.
